Since the beginning of the Veteran Connections Podcast I have enjoyed all of the interviews with some really awesome people. They have all showed their dedication and care for our active duty military and Veterans. Some were serious, some were funny, all of them had passion and value.
Here is the list of top episodes listened to in 2017! Make sure have listened to them all!

Over the last year Veteran Connections has interviewed many great Veteran business owners and passed on tons of valuable knowledge to transitioning Veterans on how to start a business. The demand for knowledge goes well beyond that focus. I have had many conversations and been asked by many Veterans about finding a new career, finding resources, and if I could help them make the right connection.
Of course I am happy to help with all those things, and I do on a regular basis. I am happy to announce that in 2018 the Veteran Connections Podcast will be expanding to talk about these additional areas of interest. So I will continue to interview Veteran business owners but I will additionally be talking about finding jobs, Veteran resources, and non-profits. Some of this will be interviews and some will just be a one on one between you and I. In 2018 I also have a few group interviews planned that should be fun and full of value bombs.
I am looking forward to serving you in 2018! If you are interested in being on a podcast message me. https://veteranconnections.us/join/

As Thanksgiving quickly approaches I think of all the things I am thankful for:
- Freedom, and those that serve to protect it
- My children, family, and friends
- That I have a roof over my head, food to eat, and a vehicle to drive
- That I have a God that loves me
- That I have been given the ability to help people
The list could go on forever. Think about what you are thankful for and let people know.
I wanted to share something my Veteran friend and business owner sent to me!
If you are going to be preparing a nice Thanksgiving dinner and want to throw some flair into it then here are some recipes put together by Bryan Jacobs of Vet2Chef and his students. It is a Vet2Chef Thanksgiving E-Book.

The Veteran Connections Podcast is about helping transitioning Veterans and Veterans already out of the military engage with the business community and to share the knowledge and tools needed to successfully start a business. I do this by bringing you experience and advice from fellow Veterans who are business owners and have made the transition from the military and into the business community.
But there is more to connecting Veterans with Veteran business owners than just gaining advice for starting your own business. Many of the Veteran business owners want to hire transitioning Veterans and many of the transitioning Veterans would like to work for a great Veteran owned business. I wanted to take the time to meet the needs of these Veterans also.
The next several episodes will be a Veteran Connections Support Series dedicated to the providing additional knowledge, advice, and resources to help Veteran business owners find the transitioning Veterans they are looking for or to help the transitioning Veterans find resources and gain knowledge when looking for a new career outside of the military.
Listen to Brian Anderson of Veterans Alternative, Blayne Smith of Team Red White and Blue, and John Vann of Racing4Vets as they talk about how transitioning Veterans can engage with the community and avoid many transition obstacles by preparing correctly.
When preparing an agenda for Veteran Connections Day it was my mission to address all aspects of what a transitioning Veteran’s needs.
We covered the Value of a Veteran, Veteran resources, Veteran opportunities, Veteran entrepreneurship, networking, building a better profile or brand for yourself, and more.
So many things about helping a Veteran transition revolve around networking and finding a new career. Now I do think that is very important. I personally volunteer and dedicate time to make that happen.
But I wanted to address the heart and soul of the transitioning Veteran. How community and mentorship and being part of something can help Veterans from stumbling, from failing, and from thinking they are alone.
We want Veterans and their families to transition successfully and to enjoy a happy life.
